AFib Aware is an innovative CME program intended for cardiologists, geriatricians, cardiac electrophysiologists, and primary care clinicians involved in the management of atrial fibrillation (AF).
In order to reinforce an evidence-based approach to the management of AF patients within clinical practice, 2 CME modules are hosted on this AFib Aware program website. Participants are encouraged to complete all modules in the curriculum. Each module is self-contained so that they could be completed independently of the other modules for credit. However, each succeeding module reinforces skills presented in previous modules in addition to presenting new material.
Participating physicians can receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for each activity completed.
The purpose of this curriculum is to guide you through a learning path that assesses baseline knowledge and competency in the area of AF. The curriculum is also meant to provide you with opportunities to learn and apply new skills that can be used in your practice.
This program has been supported by an independent medical education grant from Boehringer Ingelheim to Rush University Medical Center.
